Medicare laws and Medicare coverage are not easy to understand. Once you are enrolled in Medicare you have choices that will affect cost, doctor selection, benefits, convenience, and quality.
Some Medicare beneficiaries have a good understanding of how Medicare works and others do not. If you don’t, then call a local independent broker or get a friend’s referral for someone who specializes in Medicare Supplement insurance plans to help match you up with what’s best for your needs.
What is available in your area and the rates for your zipcode will matter. There are too many unanswered questions here. There is not a one fit all either, because what one person says about AARP may not apply to you. The Blue’s have always been great and they are one of my carriers. Also, United Healthcare’s AARP plan is a good one; however it is pricey in my state. I like Mutual of Omaha, they have good, stable rates.
All Medicare health plans must cover all Medicare part A and part B benefits, and due to drug coverage that is applicable under Medicare part A and part B, it is critical to understand the basic Medicare benefits
